If we were the sole survivors
of a zombie apocalypse
and you were bitten and transformed
into a walking corpse
I wouldn’t even pick up my
I’d just let you take a bite
out of me, because I’d rather be
than alive alone
If I had a time machine, I’d go back
to the days of your youth
to see how you became the someone
I love so much today, and then
I’d return to the moment we first met
just so I could see my own face
when I saw your face
for the first time...
How amazing is that poem? That was one of the readings at Amalia and Nicole's ceremony and it's stuck with me ever since (you can read the full poem here!)
This wedding was just utterly perfect. It's a day I could relive over and over again, it still makes me beam with little explosions of happiness. I arrived at their (amazing) Airbnb in the morning and instantly felt like part of the gang; Amalia's best man and husband, Nicole's best man and husband, both sets of parents and sisters...you were all so so lovely and welcoming, thank you! Nicole got ready with her sister and mum, after having her hair done in the morning by Amalia's sisters, while Amalia got ready with the boys downstairs and I flitted between the two! Amalia's dad made her beautiful suit and was there on hand to make sure everyone looked the part. The beautiful flowers and button holes were from Design by Nature and really went with the relaxed feel of the day, they were so pretty.
We walked from the house to Stoke Newington Town hall, the ceremony was gorgeous and then instead of confetti the girls emerged from the building to a cloud of bubbles! This has truly made for one of my all time favourite 'confetti' shots and both of their faces just scream JOY! (The bubbles were hilarious because we were all absolutely covered and it turned out they don't actually disappear when they pop...cue everyone pruning each other like monkeys) We then walked through the park to the absolutely stunning West Reservoir Centre which is right on the water and is now the first place I've ever had to wear a life jacket to work! The outside area was just perfect for this warm summers day and everyone was enjoying the views right through until the evening.
I left this wedding with a gigantic smile on my face and so much love in my heart. There was so much I wanted to say about every little detail but I'll leave the images to do the talking for me.
Amalia and Nicole, thank you so so so much for asking me to spend your day with you, you are both so beautiful and I really wish we could do it all again!
Lots of love xxx
