This has been the hardest wedding to get ready for blogging because of the incredible amount of amazing details. I wanted to add every single image but then it would have been the longest blog in history!
Charlotte and Dan were actually married in Hawaii (Nope, I didn’t smuggle myself into their suitcases in time so wasn’t able to be there with them) They eloped, just the two of them and went on the most epic adventure. I would urge anyone that’s not 100% into planning a huge wedding to look into eloping; go on that adventure and have the day that YOU want! (And take me with you!)
Wanting to celebrate when they were home with their friends and family, Charlotte and Dan pulled out all the stops (and some) to create what truly was the most amazing, beautiful and show stopping day in every way possible. They rented Eccleston Village Hall, just on the outskirts of Chester, which gave them a blank canvas to decorate how they wished. Bunting, hay bales, jars, candles, flowers, wellies, wooden signs, blankets, hearts, chalk boards, fairy lights, wheelbarrows, photos, a Prosecco trolley and the BEST cake/sweet table I have ever seen. When I arrived there in the morning to have a little snoop, I had to take a moment. It really was beautiful, all of that hard work.
I met up with this beautiful couple in an apartment in Chester city centre before going off for a stroll and it was the loveliest of moments - Dan helped Charlotte into her dress and my heart melted just a little (ok, a lot) After we got back from our walk, a horse and carriage was waiting to take them both to the river! A complete surprise organised by Charlotte’s lovely dad and I got to hop in for the ride too.
We took the Lady Diana boat along the beautiful river to Eccleston, they exited through the longest confetti line I’ve ever walked backwards through and then down the lane which was lined with bunting and flowers and honestly looked like something from a fairytale.
Charlotte and Dan, thank you so much for having me there with you. It really was the most beautiful day and one that will most definitely stay with me for years to come. Your family and friends made the day even more special and not a second of it felt like work.
Lots of love xx
