I just loved loved loved loved this wedding!
Gareth and Debbie were married at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, what a cool venue! They said their vows in the actual theatre (but not on stage and not on a ship, which is the prop that was there when they first visited the venue before booking) and it was the perfect setting. It was so nice to be in the city and going for a walk during the couple shots was great fun! We visited the Philharmonic pub which is renowned for it’s beautiful mosaic floors, got a cheer from a passer by when they spotted Gareth’s socks, found beautiful doors (always a yay from me) and just generally had a lovely post-wedding stroll so that they could have a moment before the proper celebrations commenced!
I have known Debbie since I was 15 (we don’t need to know the exact number of years that makes it…but it’s quite a while) when we both worked at Pizza Hut; two little girls just starting out in the big wide world and not really having a clue what on earth we were doing. Fast forward x amount of years and who’d have thought I’d be sharing her amazing day with her, following her around with a camera and crying like a baby when she came down the aisle to one of the most emotional songs I’ve ever heard. The morning of the wedding was spent with Debbie’s mum and 5 bridesmaids and it was an absolute hoot! (do people still say hoot?) There may have been a little bit of champagne consumed, it was so much fun and girls thank you so much for being so lovely, I swear each one of you asked me if I needed a drink at least 6 times and you made me feel like part of the gang.
The ceremony was beautiful, the evening celebrations were amazing to say the least - I couldn’t get Debbie singing “Raspberry Beret” out of my head for at least a week - and I am so so happy that you love your images. It was my absolute pleasure to capture all of these moments for you.
Thank you so much for having me there with you and I’ll see you in January ;-)
Lots of love xxx
