I sometimes have to pinch myself. This day quite simply blew me away and it’s taken me a while to figure out exactly how to put it all into words - I’m still struggling so let’s see how that goes!
Kerry and Luke got in touch about their wedding after finding my Bucket List online. They told me about their plan for an intimate elopement on the banks of Loch Lomond, somewhere that was extra special to the two of them, and I couldn’t have imagined how amazing this day was actually going to be.
When I turned up to Auchenheglish Lodges on the morning of the wedding it was just so beautiful, even with an angry sky threatening (and then producing!) rain it was absolutely stunning and I saw straight away why they chose this location for their day.
The ceremony took place out on the veranda of their lodge, right on the banks of the loch, and the rain stopped just in time for us all to go outside. Look at the view! Imagine getting married in front of a backdrop like this, it really is the stuff of dreams.
Kerry and Luke really did do things their own way; it was all so relaxed and personal, a day with family - just ten guests, who could not have been more lovely - their own personal vows and so much happiness and love. The rain stayed off long enough to get some amazing shots and then move on to Balloch House for a really lovely meal.
If you’re looking for some elopement inspiration then here you are. Choose a place that you love, celebrate with the people that you love and do what you love. It doesn’t have to be a big affair if that’s not what you want, there are so many options to make your day absolutely perfect and honestly everything about this was wonderful.
Kerry and Luke thank you so much for having me there to celebrate with you and thank you to your family for having me as part of the gang for the day!
Lots of love
Also a shout out to the lovely Elaine from Argyll and Bute Registrars who was super relaxed and made the ceremony so special.
