I absolutely love London, so when my lovely friend of Claire Penn Photography said "hey Sam, do you fancy another adventure, this time we're off to London...?" my answer was a very big yes and I packed my bag there and then.
This wedding was just perfection; stylish, laid back, beautiful and packed with incredible moments in incredible places. Helen got ready with her bridesmaids (and her extremely photogenic cat) at home and we were completely giddy when we saw her stunning Jenny Packham dress (oh my). The three of us jumped into a taxi once she was ready and made our way to a park to meet her groom-to-be for a first look...my first first look and I honestly still get goosebumps reliving it! I climbed into a bush - after quickly introducing myself to John who was waiting on the bridge and making sure he knew I was meant to be there and not randomly hiding in a tree with my camera - and when Helen walked towards him and they saw each other for the first time I thought my heart was going to explode. What a beautiful moment.
They were married at Stoke Newington Town Hall and while the guests made their way to the reception venue, we took a stroll through Smithfield Market - those colours! - and then onto The Fable, what an amazing place! The food, the staff, the drinks, the decor! Books, everywhere...even a chair made of books, I was literally in heaven.
The evening was finished off perfectly with some epic dancing and we really didn't want to leave.
Helen and John, what a wonderful day - thank you so much for letting me tag along!
